Teach College level classes with emphasis on hands lab work covering topics such as:

  • Cisco Routers, Switches, Vlans and TCP/IP Variable Length Subnetting

  • Teach Linux focusing on enterprise Network Integration (Samba, NFS, ssh, FTP server, Shell Scripting, Send Mail, Apache Web Server, etc).
  • Web Design using Macromedia and Adobe design products and coursework for the Certified Internet Webmaster curriculum covering HTML, Photoshop, Illustrator, web design concepts, Ecommerce, internet marketing, database integration, JavaScript, PHP integration, etc.
  • Programming and Database Development

Create quizzes, both practical hands-on and standard quizzes. Since I am required to create the quizzes for some of the classes I teach, I use hands-on for in class quizzes because I believe the students learn more from doing then just answering questions, However, when appropriate, I use a standard quiz format as well.

Refine and improve the official school curriculum to keep up with technological changes and to meet current student needs by modifying existing materials to improve delivery while still maintaining the course integrity and training goals.

Develop supplemental materials for use in the classroom to reinforce and enhance basic course material such as lecture slides, handouts, additional hands-on labs, simulations, multimedia presentations, etc.

Develop student workshops including determining the content, training methodology, course delivery methods, course materials and writing the instructor notes and lesson plans.

Serve as a subject matter expert in Windows, Linux and Cisco operating system and TCP/IP.

Tutor students in Math, Electronics, Physics and Networking courses as needed.

Curricullum Development

Served as Assistant Department Chair for Network Security at Chubb, acted as curriculum Liaison with R &D, mentored part time adjunct instructors, scheduled instructors for classes, resolved disputes between students and instructors, provided input to my department chair for the adjuncts I supervised.

Represented the North Brunswick campus at School Curriculum Development planning meetings.

Served as a Subject Matter Expert and technical editor for the Curriculum Development Team,  Reviewed three courses for the new college curriculum: Desktop Operating systems, Network Interoperability Lab, and Enterprise Security.

Developed Lesson Plans to be used by part-time instructors

Created and taught an Interoperability Lab and Capstone Project consisting of building a routed enterprise network with three separate subnets that integrates Linux servers running sendmail, FTP and web servers and Novell 5.1 servers running Zenworks at each location into a Windows Active Directory Network using Exchange

Developed and authored several training manuals in Adobe Acrobat PDF format to be sold or provided as a bonus to my web hosting and newsletter-hosting customers.

Business Analysis & Management

Manage the Work environment by coordinating the implementation of the policies and procedures needed to support service level agreements including all phases of planning, determining staff requirements, and supervising technical staff during implementation.

Administer Microsoft Windows Linux, Cisco, Novell NetWare and Banyan VINES networks, involving the addition and deletion of users; maintain lists; control resources; manage mail; maintain system and data security; perform system backup procedures.

Configure workstations and install software; design, install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair common problems associated with the operation and maintenance of network file servers, CD-ROM servers, remote access servers, routers, hubs, cabling (Ethernet, Token Ring, 10BaseT, co-ax and Fiber), PCs, Laptops, Palmtops, cell phones, tablets and laser printers; extensively use Network and Workstation Utilities to troubleshoot hardware problems, recover and repair data.

Possess a detailed knowledge of TCP/IP, Microsoft Internet Information Server, DNS, BIND servers, DHCP, WINS, Active directory and NDS. Proficient in using both the UNIX and the VMS operating systems, and have a working knowledge Proxy Server internet access software.

Served as Subject Matter Expert and representative in ANSI and CCTIT Standards organizations for Telecommunication protocols

Technical  and Copywriting Writing
